Do Babies Dream?

You've probably at least once wondered if babies dream? The answer is not as simple as we would like it to be, but here is what we know about babies and dreams. Babies often emit various voices while sleeping. Sometimes they even giggle and laugh while they are in a deep sleep. Watching those sweet grimaces and listening to their voices, we can't help but wonder what is going on in those heads while they sleep ?!.

As we have already said, the answer to this question is not so simple because half of the scientists say that babies dream, while the same number of scientists say that they do not dream, so we cannot give the correct answer for sure.

ARGUMENTS FOR

Some experts believe that the fact that babies have the REM phase - a state in which living dreams come true, it is solid proof that babies dream. If we take into account that this is true and that babies spend about 50% of their sleep in the REM state, compared to 25% in adults, then we can even say that babies dream much more than adults.

ARGUMENTS AGAINST

On the other hand, there are a large number of neurologists and other experts who think that the REM phase in babies does not necessarily mean that they are dreaming. They assume that newborns and babies did not have enough experience and did not acquire the ability to visualize things visually and spatially while sleeping.

Some conclusion in all this is that there is no one right answer to this question. Two assumptions have not yet been proven.
