In the first three months, the baby cries for about two hours a day, mostly in the afternoon and evening. This is because the nervous system is not sufficiently developed and cannot process a large amount of information coming from outside and from its internal organs. Over time, as the baby grows and matures, it begins to distinguish between external and internal stimuli. Crying time is getting shorter and shorter; at four months it is about one hour a day. As the baby establishes a routine, crying periods become shorter and more predictable, parents are able to recognize the cause of crying - whether the baby is hungry or looking for company, when to give her a toy… and are able to help or comfort her. In the second half of the first year of life, as the process of neurological maturation progresses, crying increasingly becomes a reflection of deprivation or fear. Adults cry when they are sad or when something hurts. Babies, however, also cry when looking for company. From the third month, it is also a way for them to react to frustrations: a toy that they cannot reach, a meal that is late.

THE MOST COMMON REASONS BABIES CRY
1)The baby is hungry - Hunger is the most common reason for crying and the younger the baby, the greater the chance that he wants milk. A small baby's stomach can't hold a lot of food and she is more often hungry. So try feeding first. If you are breastfeeding, put the baby to the breast as often as possible in the first days, to encourage lactation. Of course, that doesn't mean that a crying newborn is always hungry! First think about when the last breastfeeding was (the interval between two breastfeeds is calculated from the beginning to the beginning) if less than an hour has passed, consider what other reason for crying could be. It is very important not to put the baby to the breast immediately for every cry; if you always try to calm the newborn by breastfeeding, you will create a confused, insecure baby who will find it difficult to separate from the breast.
2)She needs a new diaper - Some babies do not react immediately when they fill the diaper, and some want to be changed immediately. In any case, always take a look at the diaper because it is worth trying to change.
3)The baby is cold or too hot - Be careful not to warm the baby too much, and the rule is: the baby needs only one layer of clothes more than you. If the baby's back part of the door is hot and humid, it is probably overheated and should be made comfortable and check if the room is overheated (temperatures should not be above 20-21 degrees). Put the baby in a sleeping bag or cover with a cotton blanket, avoid feather quilts. If the baby is cold, it will warm up the fastest and best with the mother's body, best skin-to-skin.
